Long-time gearhead with a small collection of German cars, mostly aircooled. I don't own anything newer than 1972... daily drivers include a '64 VW Microbus Deluxe and '67 911S. In total: five early 911s, one of which is a '68 911L raced in SVRA and HSR. Plus a '62 Porsche 356 Notchback outlaw, a couple of '72 BMW E9s, one a genuine 3.0CSL; a pair of BMW 700s, one Sport and one Cabriolet; a '68 Mercedes 280SL and lastly a 1970 Porsche 914/6GT under restoration. There are worse ways to waste time and money... just doing my part to recycle responsibly. Retired from industrial design, the past decade or so was spent on another passion: live music, particularly roots Americana.
