Lime Rock Park announced today that famed British driver, Sir Stirling Moss, will be the honored guest at the Lime Rock Historic Festival 30 this Labor Day weekend. The British racer, now 82 and asserted by many to be the best all-round racer the sport has ever seen, will be in attendance at the event in Lakeview, Connecticut from August 31 - September 3, 2012.

Sir Stirling Moss's participation will include several meet-and-greet and autograph opportunities with enthusiasts, interviews with media, and serving as one of the judges for the "Sunday in the Park" Concours. Lime Rock is currently working to arrange to have several of the cars Moss drove in his professional career on hand at the festival for both display and demo laps.

Moss never won a Formula 1 World Championship; however, he came in second many times and was regarded by many of his contemporaries as the driver to beat in race after race. Races where he was victorious include the Monaco Grand Prix, the German Grand Prix, the Tourist Trophy, and the Sebring 12 Hours.
