Automobile Quarterly

Overview

Automobile Quarterly is a hardbound advertisingfree periodical publication that started in Spring 1962 with the subtitle "The Connoisseur's Magazine of Motoring Today Yesterday and Tomorrow". The first editor was L. Scott Bailey working from offices in New York City. In 1963 an "office of publication" was opened in Kutztown Pennsylvania which operated first as Automobile Quarterly Inc. and later as a subsidiary of The Kutztown Publishing Company Inc. In October 2000 the company became a subsidiary of Automobile Heritage Publishing & Communications LLC and relocated to New Albany Indiana. The publication has been well known for quality writing and photography about automobiles personalities and related subjects.

The magazine is noted for the use of both original fullcolor photography and rare blackandwhite photos. Its hardcover format sets it apart from all other automotive publications. As it was in 1962 today's Automobile Quarterly remains a quality product that is unique among automotive publications.
