Stephen Cox is a racecar driver, CEO of Sopwith Motorsports Limited and television host for auto racing events on NBC, Fox Sports, Outdoor Channel, HD Theater and ESPN2.

As the lead driver at Sopwith Motorsports for 19 seasons, Stephen has proven to be among the most versatile drivers in the sport. He's posted wins in four separate divisions of auto racing, on ovals and road courses, in both full fender and open wheel cars.

He has driven winged formula Atlantics, Rolex sports cars, ProCup and Busch series stock cars, GT-2 and production superstock road racers, ARCA trucks, open wheel modifieds, dirt cars, desert racing trucks and rally cars. Stephen has competed on every surface imaginable including road and street courses, high banked asphalt ovals, dirt tracks and off-road.

When he's not in the cockpit, Cox is frequently found producing and hosting motorsports broadcasts. He currently hosts the Mecum Auto Auction with co-hosts Scott Hoke, John Kraman and Bill Stephens on HD Theater and Discovery Channel. Stephen also anchors and produces the Best in the Desert Series television broadcasts on Fox Sports and Outdoor Channel, as well as the General Tire TROPHYLITE racing series.

His past television work encompasses almost every form of motorsports in the world including international play-by-play anchor duties for the Champ Car World Series, pit reporting from the Indy 500, host of Four Wheeler TV on both ESPN2 and the Outdoor Channel, SPEED's long-running automotive magazine Autoweek, and the Barber Dodge Pro Series.

Cox also authored the Small Team Sponsorship Guide for beginning sponsor-hunters, the classic book and seminar that redefined the way entry level teams attack corporate sponsorship.
