Tim Sharp is former race driving instructor and race driver turned journalist. He taught for Bob Bondurant and won ten road racing championships before he wrote his first motorsports article. Sharp is a former driver for the Autodynamics, Ralt, Porsche and TOM’s/Toyota race teams. He was also a team manager and lead driver for TRD USA. Sharp is a contributing editor for the hard-core enthusiast Grassroots Motorsports and Classic Motorsports magazines. He is a past president of the Phoenix Automotive Press Association and a member of the Motor Press Guild.

Tim lives in Gold Canyon, AZ with his photographer wife Kris and three wrinkly Shar-Peis. Currently, Sharp is running a vintage supercharged 1938 Austin 7 Special in vintage races. Kris and Tim’s son Spencer is a former motocross and road racing champion who is a precision driving instructor and professional race driver.
